Sometimes, less is more.
If you want to limit your search results in M-Files, you can do so easily by clicking on the View Documents by [View name] box under the filters tab.
You can also turn the Search Within View setting on by default. You can do so for either a specific view, or ask your M-Files Admin to configure it across the entire Vault.
When you are in a view you want to turn the Search Within View setting on, right click in the view, click Properties, click Advanced, and tick the Search within this view by default box.
This means that when you have that view open and search for some information, M-Files will only show you results from that particular view.
